Fever Dream
February 1st, 2022
This was a fever dream.Together with a group of friends, we walked down the beach between Venice and Santa Monica. The guys found a spot to do some flips under the rose skies. It was the funniest thing, how they discussed doing backflips so casually, while I’d never met anyone before who could do that. Though I didn’t make it to the Venice pier today, the day ended like a true ‘City of Stars’ moment. The nearly cinematographic sunset could fit right into a La La Land montage.
Even back at the hostel we had so much fun about the tiniest things. We laughed until we cried. We even did some Caliweed before taking off to bed. This resulted in the funniest one-minute elevator ride I’ve ever had. The amount of laughter on that elevator even became the scale by which we measured our following laugh outbursts.
This day was the type of day that makes you postpone your bedtime. It made me postpone my bus ride to San Francisco for another day. Fun like that seems nearly illegal, like a call for trouble.
